Questions Applicators Actually Ask
How much flake do I need per square metre?
A full broadcast to rejection uses roughly 1 kg per 0.8 to 1.0 sqm, so budget about 1.1 kg per sqm. A partial broadcast stretches to about 3.6 sqm per kg. Excess flake is recoverable and reusable, so your real consumption is usually lower than the order quantity. Use the calculator above for a job-specific number.
How much is shipping?
Free on orders of 10kg or more. Under 10kg it is a flat $10. The 5kg sample box is $10 shipping with the flake supplied free.
Can I test it before I commit to a job quantity?
Yes, that is the point of the 5kg trial. Flake is free, you pay $20 shipping, and 5kg is enough to broadcast a genuine test panel and check the size mix, colour and coverage under your own topcoat.
Are the colours really RAL matched?
The 12 solid colours are matched to RAL Classic references (for example White GF-SC01 to RAL 9016, Charcoal GF-SC11 to RAL 7016). Screen and print colours are approximate, so always confirm against a RAL swatch and physical samples. Every hybrid blend is built only from those solids, which is why blends stay repeatable.
What flake sizes can I get?
Standard is 1/4" (6mm) nominal. Add /3 to the code for 1/8" or /1.5 for 1/16". Hybrid blends are 70% 1/16" micro ground with 30% 1/4" accents, except Saltbush at 60/40 and Sheoak at 65/35.
Can you custom match a colour for a client?
Full custom matching runs from around 500kg. Under that volume, buy the RAL-matched solids per kilo and blend on your own bench: since every one of our hybrids is made that way, you can hit almost any look without a minimum run.
Why are you cheaper than the big suppliers?
Because we are applicators, not a distributor with a showroom and a sales team to fund. Same flake spec, a third off, and a price-beat guarantee if you find it cheaper landed.
Will the flake fade outdoors or around a pool?
Pigments are UV stable and the system is specified from garages through to pool areas. The critical variable outdoors is the topcoat: run both PA70 polyaspartic clear coats as specified in the system build-up.
